Basil/Mint, Lime & Granadilla Punch (Mocktail)

A mocktail offers a refreshing and low-sugar alternative to the usual sugary non-alcoholic drinks on offer. By choosing either mint or basil, this Basil/Mint, Lime & Granadilla Punch mocktail can easily be changed depending on your taste.



The cordial used in this recipe is made with rooibos and can be used in a variety of ways, from diluted with sparkling water or as a mixer in mocktails or cocktails.

Recipe: Two in a Bush


Serves 1


Ingredients

  • 1 sprig fresh basil or mint

  • 1 lime, cut into 4 wedges

  • 1 granadilla, scooped out

  • 1 knob of fresh ginger, juice squeezed out

  • ice

  • 60 ml Two in a Bush Rooibos Cordial

  • Sparkling water

  • Extra basil to garnish


Method

  1. Place the lime and basil or mint into a large shaker. Use a muddler to press a few times. Add the granadilla pulp, ginger juice, ice, cordial and shake.

  2. Strain into a glass and top with sparkling water, and garnish with fresh basil/mint and the halved granadilla.
